In this context, the Mexico City Government has introduced a new International Cooperation Agreements Strategy, the main goals of which are:

Mexico City has strengthened its collaboration with different international organizations by signing and carrying out cooperation agreements that promote social and economic development essential topics and goals for our capital.

Such agreements are lined up with the United Nations’ Millennium Development Goals, which promote prosperity, equality, freedom, dignity, and peace among the countries of the world. Furthermore, they lay out actions for the creation and implementation of the Post-2015 Development Agenda, which is driven by the UN as well.
